Delicious, would Recommend! Trying to support local and went for Friday lunch. 5 for Hot rock steak and chips ( I mean cheaper than a meal from a fast food joint). It did not disappoint, you get to cook the steak to your liking and the chips (proper chips) the best I've ever tasted! So is poss go local , it doesn't have to be expensive and you get top quality grub! #supportlocal

- Tasty, hot, well cooked food - Really good atmosphere - Fabulous staff We seem to struggle finding nice restaurants but they really hit the mark here. My missus is a professional chef and many moons ago I wrote restaurant reviews for a newspaper so I'd like to think we know our food! I would rate my experience from 3 categories and mark each out of 3... food, venue, staff! If they were 3 out of 3 on all 3 I'd rate it 9 out of 10... the extra 1 was rarely given as it's tough to get 10/10! VENUE - really nice place, looks great, buzzing atmosphere and the steak stones are a really good touch! 3 STAFF - super friendly and extremely efficient who seem very well trained and all looked like they really enjoy their job! 3 FOOD - simple dishes but the key is to cook them well and they did. Flavoursome, piping hot, cooked perfectly using good, fresh ingredients! 3 Cooking our own steaks on the hot stones is great... we both like medium rare so we were in control just adding a piece at a time and each mouthful is cooked to our taste and piping hot! Very good value for money too and I would highly recommend it here! 9/10 Well worth a visit!! Not a complaint but a critique... my creamy mash with my black pudding was buttery tasty but it was rather lumpy!

After reading the reviews I wanted to dine here. Very very disappointing, didn't fancy a steak so thought I'd try the 6oz prime burger, you'd of thought that in a place like this it would be a home/handmade burger patty not a cheap tasteless frozen patty! I did tell the staff I was disappointed with the meal and left most of it the clue was there. Still charged me full price although my review is not based on the price. See pictures and you'll see why I gave it 1 star. Crème brûlée was also tasteless and looked as if it had split. My kids have sausage mash, it was ok for them. This is a real review. I'll not be surprised if they don't respond

WOW, what a great evening. I booked a table for me and my partner yesterday evening last eat out before lockdown 2 , very welcoming atmosphere when you go in. I had requested a table in the corner, which they catered for no problem it was the start of a good evening. We had the perfect evening, wine, live music (Tom was brill), best company and most importantly the food , we had the Pigeon breast and Curried lamb spring roll for starters, and then the best steak we have ever tasted, we had the Chateaubriand (for 2) with all the trimmings, we highly recommend this, the staff are all lovely, very polite and you are very well looked after, by far our favourite new place to eat ..... Brilliant.
