We were travelling through the area and just randomly picked The Swan for lunch. What a wise choice. Delicious freshly cooked food , especially recommend the steak and kidney pie, with delicious shortcrust pastry, lots of filling and fresh veg, incl new potatoes. The apple, sultana and honey crumble was an equally delicious follow up. Excellent, efficient staff and full covid precautions. Highly recommended.
Went there for a Sunday Lunch. Basic but good bar-food type menu with a few interesting selections and specials for vegans and vegetarians (we had both in our group) Garden was small, with basic landscaping, but the wasps drove us indoors. Indoors is reminiscent of a northern labour club bar. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good value for money. All in all a pleasent and positive experience if you don't need impress your guests.
Great home made steak and kidney pie, friendly service and very fluffy ducklings outside in the carpark. Recommend the pie.
Great food and beer. Was able to sleep in carpark in van.
