Here, our residents are far more self-sufficient, they are far more independent so less reliant on the main house for their day to day needs. These include cooking, cleaning, gardening and for the security of the house and for one another. They are encouraged to establish good relationships with their neighbours. Residents here are of course welcome to come to the main house every day should they want to but their main focus is to eventually be less reliant on benefits and start back paid work once more, basically they are given more opportunity to progress. Princes Avenue November 8, 2013 Accommodation admin_grow This is the other of our move on houses which can accommodate five, this also comes under the banner of GROW More, where five of our Rickmansworth Road residents have the option of moving to when both parties feel that they are at that stage in their recovery. Just like Euston Road, our residents are far more self-sufficient, they are far more independent so less reliant on the main house for their day to day needs. Residents here are of course welcome to come to the main house every day should they want to but their main focus is to eventually be less reliant on benefits and gain paid work once more, basically they are given more both the flexibility and opportunity to progress. All of our move on house residents have the full support of our staff members for and extra assistance that they may need. Social Housing November 8, 2013 Accommodation admin_grow In almost all cases, residents who are looking to move on from Euston Road or Princes Avenue are free to seek council housing. This can be either locally or in the wider area. Occasionally we are given a number opportunities to nominate our residents in order for them with the bidding process to secure council accommodation. For many councils, social housing is extremely limited and Watford is no different in this regard. Our staff have very good connections with the team of local Housing Officers and we will do all we can to help our residents. Private Rented Accommodation November 8, 2013 Accommodation admin_grow A selection of our residents have chosen to secure accommodation via private rental. Obviously the benefit of this is being able to more freely choose the location and type of home that’s right for them. Should they initially want to arrange this whilst claiming housing benefit we will help them with both the property search and with any application, form filling and liaising with the local Council. Some of our residents very quickly return to paid work, either via a voluntary scheme, temporary or contract work developing into full-time paid work, job applications or in the form of returning to their former employer (all of which we can help with) In almost all cases, residents who are looking to move on from Euston Road or Princes Avenue are free to seek council housing. As with any project at GROW we encourage our residents to get involved and our new extension is no exception, our residents played a vital role in bringing this project to fruition. In fact the first bricks were laid on the 4th July by two of our residents, Kevin and Neil. The new outbuilding will be home to a new meeting space and a fully equipped gym for our residents. The final part of the construction is underway with the completion of the roof followed by all of the internal finishes. . [print_gllr id=181] WELFARE November 4, 2013 Roundals admin_grow Our residents welfare is obviously of paramount importance. An integral part of our facility is to oversee and control the use prescribed prescription medication should our residents need this. Our trained staff work closely with a variety of health care workers including, doctors, dentists, probation and mental health workers to ensure that the needs of the individual resident are met fully and completely. OPPORTUNITY November 4, 2013 Roundals admin_grow Once our residents are on the road to their own personal recovery, we offer and encourage each of them to gradually re-integrate back into society. This could be via a voluntary work programme or scheme, further education, work based training, paid part-time work or even, on the rare occasion, drug and alcohol counselling courses. Our staff are well connected in and around the Watford area and we will do all we can to facilitate any available opportunities for personal development. This place really does help change peoples lives, the staff here are lovely and give everything they have to help vunerable addicts turn their lives around. If youve ever got a spare afternoon or just time for a coffee go and listen to some of the varied stories from the people living here, you may even find that their stories help you!

This place is terrible and it's run by someone who break's all rules and doesn't do anything to help you get permanent housing, it's just a scam for the few top members of staff.
