Great pier with a fire pit at the end; though it wasn't lit while we were visiting DC (I think it was too cold/windy or maybe they only light it for events). I loved the big bench swings and so did my daughter who had been itching for somewhere near the hotel where she could play. Definitely worth taking a stroll here if you're in the area and have time to kill

Enjoy taking zoom gathering here. So relaxing.
A nicely structured public pier along the river with many shops, restaurants, public activities, and theatres. The renovation has really introduced some new life into this modernized community. While small, the fish market at one end is a historic place to start. Most of the eateries here are along the water, and while pricey, offer views of the river while avoiding the heat of the summer. The pier itself has a very pleasing design, and is lined with benches and swing sets. You can rent paddleboats at its end, or take your kids to the fountains at the other. The famous Torch also sits out on the pier, and is surrounded by benches as well. Currently, the DC Jazzfest is held at this location, but you can count on many events being held here throughout the year.
Lovely place to visit
