A lovely little nature reserve with a circular walking route of about a mile. A couple of bird hides with varied species. Sculpture trail. Woodland and moss. There is free parking, a visitors centre with toilets and piknick tables, benches and grassy areas. Suitable for prams and possibly wheelchairs as some of the path is tarmac and some is gravel. Good for dog walking on a lead.

Circular walks through birch woods with interesting offshoots over peat bogs and views across the moss. Small visitor centre (currently closed due to covid).
It's a beautiful park with a nice variaty of plant and birds and had pretty sculptures. Now in Corona times it can be quite busy on the weekend
Nice calming walk through a diverse natural environment, full of nature's wonder. With chainsaw wood carved sculptures for the children to find. They will find the bogart family who love acorns to eat. Great place and just a stones throw from the main road system to the M62.
Very popular place, had a lovely walk around here today with my daughters and the dogs, we've not been here for years and it's right on our doorstep. Used to bring the children when they were small, there were lots of families and dog walkers as was a lovely autumn day, albeit a little bit muddy. There is a car park which is free, (which makes a change ) There are hideaways where you can birdwatch from and a number of carved sculptures. Wont leave it so long till my next visit .
