Whilst Lucy was professional the entire process through and cannot recommend her enough, this process was incredibly poor. It took 3 weeks from verbal confirmation to signing, and throughout that time it was nothing but stress. Using a 3rd part broker called Vouch, who’s information gathering process is extremely invasive, to having to have multiple copies of ID multiple times. Then the 20 page contract came through and it is heavily weighted, with nearly all landlord responsibilities shifted onto the tenant. Repair of white goods, maintenance of power sockets, and what looks like if someone walking past a street window broke it we would be liable. Most of these things should be part of the insurance or maintenance of the landlord. We backed out our end due to a change in circumstances, saw another property later that day, paid 6 months upfront and got the keys so we can move in this weekend, with another local estate agents. This estate agent gathered all the information he needed himself, rather than push it all back onto me to sort, and acted as if he actually wanted our business. I can see why the house I had been intending to rent from Mark Anthony empty for nearly 4 months. From my experience Mark Anthony probably are aiming at a certain clientele, and if you don’t fit that I would look elsewhere, as you will just end losing your holding deposit. However can’t understate how professional and courteous Lucy was during the process.
