I got a second hand electric bike as a present in early December. It was in immaculate condition. While the battery life was short (it would need full recharge after a few days of use) the bike worked perfectly well. I took my bike to Vitavelo to change the wheels. When I got my bike back the chain wasn't working properly and the battery was completely dead. i.e. it won't charge no more. I brought the bike back to the shop - they fixed the chain but the battery turned out to be dead-dead. They said that given that the battery is more than 4 years old it just finally died while staying with them. They deny having touched the battery and said that it was \a coincidence\. The battery worked perfectly well during 3 months of nearly everyday use but it seems that it had to die just when I left it at their shop. Quite a big coincidence indeed. If I were you I would not leave my bike with them just in case another coincidence occurs.
Very friendly staff, helped me out for free with small things and gave helpful advise for the future
