I enjoyed my meal. I had the meatballs with boiled potatoes, cranberries, and carrots, and maybe lentils... Not sure what they were. Friendly and prompt service. Some kind and outgoing patrons stopped to chat with me and that itself was a warm and welcomed experience. I would love to have another meal at this charming, historic, and delicious restaurant. It's worth experiencing at least once.

Established in 1739, it must be one of the oldest restaurants in town. It’s a little bit outside of downtown Trondheim, but not that far, you could even walk there if you don’t mind the hills. :) The inside looks super charming and definitely looks like they’ve tried to keep the original appearance, but they also have tables outside for the nice summer days. I had a proper Norwegian salmon dish and was perfectly cooked. :) Wine selection was pretty decent as well. And my vegetarian friend was able to find a good vegetarian burger as well.

Amazing old building from 1739. A lot of different rooms for sitting. And they are keeping it looking old with everything from curtains to old fireplaces. The service is great and the food too. One of my personal favorites in Trondheim.
Very tasty food and good service. But the bad thing is the price. I suggest you go here if you'd like some very tasty and good food!

You've read about Scandinavian hyggelig etc. Now visit the restaurant. Good quality reasonably Norwegian food in a cozy place.
