A nice place BUT the water / sand smells of sewage! For me it is a good enough reason not to go back there. Also it was very very crowded.

Love it, one of the best place to visit near Paris. Only 30 to 40 min from Paris. Artificial Beach or you can say it's a lake. Best for family short tour or hangout with friends.
Together with a friend we attended a festival. It is a long distance walk from train station. No public transport available. Obviously the rain doesn't help . If you think to attend any festival bear in mind that. Have your own transport as parking is free and be prepared for the elements. Wish we knew those things before. Other than that, the location is beautiful. Beware of organizers.
A place to have fun with kids and friend. Quite crowded in a warm sunny day but there are spaces for everyone. There's a place to tale shower or change clothes. Also a place that sells snacks and coffee. But you can also bring your own picnic.
Recreation grounds is ok place. It wasn't that crowdy as we came after 16:00. Please be aware, that to come by foot is not safe as there is no proper walkway from nearest village to the attraction. We were walking by the higway and cars were just zipping by. To enter to the attraction grounds there is very narrow two ways carriageway and we found this pathway along canal( first 2 pictures!). However, it was so disgusting walking by it - there were human excrements all over. Local authorities have no shame to have entrance to such major attraction in such disarray Inside there is only one food outlet. Hotdog's cost around 5 and big 1.5 lt water bottle is 2.30. You can take your own food inside.
Free parking, accessible if you arrive around 10, good for kids (there are plenty). Still, it gets overcrowded, dirty. There is green area but swimming is not really a pleasant experience, the water is cold and dirty. Forget the toilettes. The cafeteria is a snack bar that prepares overpriced and overfried things. Extremely loud music (by the owners/organizers!).
Had visited this place for a wedding in my family... its top notch
Love this lake. Clean and especially no plants growing up from below. Easy access by RER bike or car - free parking. Or bike access routes all the way from Paris. 3 islands so choice of multiple swim distances from the non beach side where I train with my triathlon team. Highly recommended!
