Absolutely loved this place. Went on my own just to get away for some peace of mind. Felt like a walk in the countryside. Amongst horses, fields, water, old buildings, small cafe and ice cream on site. Was only black girl but I felt safe, everyone was kind greeting me with good afternoons and smiles. It was clean. And just lovely. Had a blanket and got to journal. Definitely recommended

Beautiful park, whish is child and dog friendly. Cafe and toilets. The Victorian Fort, built in the 1860s is closed at the moment, but a new volunteer group is hoping to get it open to the public in the Summer of 2021.

This is a free car park and realatively big. I can imagine it could be very busy. It worth to walk around the fort which is not open. The nearby disguised radio locator (aka water tower) is worth a visit. There is a small playground too. We did a walk to Tilbury fort and back which is 10km altogether. About 300m of the path is out of use as it is about to slide into the see. There were no signs when they are planning to repair it. After the landslide we found some apple trees with delicious apples to feed the horses on the opposite side. Very industrial walk but it worth it. The cafe was open at the end back near the car park.

Awesome place to have a walk with the kids and dogs. Plenty to do here, they now have a cafe here for food and refreshments. They have a park play area for the kids to keep them busy whilst the adults can chill. Tables, benches and seats. You can take a walk around the fort itself and learn and take in some of England’s history. They also used to do Halloween nights here which was great. You get to go into the fort and dungeons with people running around and jumping out on you etc. If you have the time or even just passing pop over for an hour. It’s really talking here and you won’t be disappointed on the views of the sea. A few different trails to walk here also.
