We have been to Tendon Tenya multiple times before, but this was the first time we went to the Asakusa location. For some reason the tempura aren't as crispy as usual, but still good regardless for the price (I believe the Excellent Tendon was 600-700 yen or something like that and comes with miso soup). A good snack in-between big meals! :D

Soba noodles your way (cold or in hot soup), generous tendon, and miso soup for an affordable price. There were three of us and we shared two set meals amongst ourselves simply for the amount of food. This was comfort food for what had been a cold, wet day and we ate in wonderment at how quick, filling, and delicious the food was for the price. Order via the counter, pick up your food after a few short minutes, and help yourself to cold or hot house tea. Remember to put your tray back once you're done enjoying your food!
Great value if you are looking for a quick tempura meal in Asakusa. You get to choose your soba/noodles. Don't expect high quality though but you'll get what you pay for: decent tempura, well-cooked tempura and a great service staff. On the downside, avoid the tempura topping the rice, it gets soggy because of the steam!
The right place to enjoy tempura at Asakusa & Kaminarimon area. Just a reasonable price you can have a bowl of tempura (prawn, fish, squid and vegetable) with rice. With free choice and refill of hot and cold of roasted green tea, green tea and water. Cashier have a little bit English conversation but restaurant has English menu. Comfort restaurant with toilet inside.
Food was good. Cheaper and taste perfect! Also love the fact that it has English menu and their service was fast!
