Review posted here because Halfords are blocked several attempts to post it on their site due to \breach of guidelines\. They appear to be filtering all negative reviews. I bought a Recaro Young Sport Hero back in February and had problems with the buckle ever since. Problem #1: the buckle clip attached to the bottom of the seat faces backwards, forcing you to hold it or pull it out when your child is in the seat. Problem #2: It appears that the plastic (safety?) pin that helps hold the two halves of the buckle is too short (2mm) compared to the one on display. I tried to show this to Matthew (tall guy with the beard) in the Swindon store but he refused to accept this was a problem, and only offered a replacement seat with the same size pin (which he also tried to claim was better!). This forced me to contact Recaro UK who tried to help by sending a complete new harness and expected me to work out how to do myself following their instructions but - again the pin is too short. The arrogance of the guy in the store was shocking - not good customer service at all. Recaro failed to listen and just tried to fob us off with a new buckle with the SAME PROBLEM while expecting us to figure out how to fix it ourselves. Not what you'd expect from a premium car seat. Avoid Halfords Swindon and Recaro if you want good, honest customer service. UPDATE November 2020: It seems after trying to add a review of the Rain-x Windscreen Washer additive, Halfords are still filtering (preventing) negative reviews of any products that they sell.
Paying an extra 5 to have Ad-Blue put in your car is a great service! Friendly, polite young man did the job quickly for us with very little wait even though they were short staffed.
Good for screen wash, wipers or if you have no other option. Oils are expensive and halfords advance lightbulbs are next to useless (a 16 bulb doesn't even last a year) staff aren't trained in the companies warranty timeliness either ( both i talked to said 6 months which contradicts the online website) Advanced tools are good however. Good thing euros isn't far away... Edit- This review is after contacting customer services ..
Clean, friendly, helpful staff. Went in for headlight bulb and used their screens to find the exact one I needed.
