In my opinion, Taking this boat to Riga is pure value for money. In the boat, there is a very good offer of restaurants for all budgets and tastes. Furthermore, amenities were very entertaining, specially the dancing group Quantum XXL whose performance was the most outstanding remark of the two nights I stayed in the boat. Even though it seems like an adult party cruise, I am surprised for all activities intended to entertain kids and families. Finally, Riga was an affordable city with a beautiful old town, the six hours the ferry stays in the city are good enough to get a grasp of Latvia.
Overpriced considering the service (or rather lack of it). I understand that it is COVID time but prior to covid you could get cheaper tickets and get better service.
It was my first cruise ride and I chose Tallinn from Stockholm and I was pleasantly surprised with whole experience. Full of entertainment programs followed with Disco Night. Duty free shops are good place for shopping. This ship has large open area at 9th Floor Sundeck with chair and tables along with Bar. Casino area if you want to try out your luck. Children play area was also good. There is TV in the cabin and all announcement were made over there. Highly recommend this cruise trip to Tallinn.
To go from Sweden to Finland, a very nice option is to take the Silja Line between Stockholm and Turku (but there are other destinations, such as Helsinki). You get onto the ship in the early evening, can have dinner on board and sleep well in a nice cabin. You arrive at Turku in the early morning and can continue your trip in a relaxed way. The ships are luxury, the evening buffet has food for every taste, the shopping mall is busy (at least in the evening) and the cabins are great. During dinner you can enjoy the view on the many islands in front of the Swedish coast.
I had a great time of the ship from stockholm to helsinki, great food and bars, great duty free and the room was pretty, a great way to get from country to country.
great terminal, they are building a lot here, but the new terminal building looks cool. and is large and well furnished. you can also take the roof for a nice view. Loved it !
Excellent service at Grillhouse restaurant. Food was perfect and dessert was delicious. Not too growded due to Covid. Did not do any major tax free shopping, but lots of room in stores as well.
