Quite new to the area and looking for some river fishing, I found that this lake had a nice stretch of river. Easy to arrange and helpful staff. Had a nice day on the river fly fishing, stalking and some feeder fishing for a couple of hours. My only criticism is the price. 14 is obviously what they charge for a day at the fishery which is OK for carp fishing but if you're just fishing the river I think it should be a bit less. I would definitely come more often if it was cheaper. Spotted a few trout and just missed one, managed a baby grayling, some chub and roach.

Spent 24hrs their on the hottest day of the year on 7th August. Took my mum along for the day as well. It got off to a great start with her hooking into a 12lb common on the lower lake. I had a few out over the 24hrs also. Highly recommend the lower lake if you want to chill out and put a bend in the rod with a chance of a decent fish. Guy next to me landed a 21.8lb mirror! Food isn't half bad either and can be delivered to your swim if you don't want to cook. Booking in couldn't be simpler during these odd times and made for a straight forward session. We will be back again soon.

Several trips to Broadlands. The food from the clubhouse is of high quality, cooked really well. There are great value deals. There is some constant noise of the motorway.

Hidden gem, well worth a visit. Fantastic breakfast, beautiful setting. And Dave of course, there main reason to visit!
