Was recommended this by a friend in a recent visit to South shields, spot on. Safe system for pick ups and to Q whilst waiting for your orders, lady serving was super friendly. Fish quality on both the cod and haddock excellent, batter light and crispy, not too oily. Chips were crispy but not over done. Served with a slice of lemon which is rare for takeaways. 5min walk away from the beach, recommended for sure!
Absolutely love this place. All the servers are lovely. It's warm and welcoming and not to mention has the best fish and chips in the North East. If you're anywhere near, you should definitely pop in.
If you happen to get a customer's order wrong, by adding something they didn't ask for - batter scraps on a portion of chips for a gluten intolerant person - then have the good grace to say sorry when you're replacing them. Mistakes are easily made and in this case easily rectified, but there's no need for an attitude while you're putting it right.
Amazing fish and homemade tartare sauce, slightly pricey but worth it.
