Food was delicious! Fresh and meat was tender. Cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely recommend if you are new in the area or visiting. Guava juice was refreshing as well!

The restaurant was small, but nice and clean. There was live music on this Saturday evening. The service was slow with drinks and requests. The food at our table of 6 was enjoyed by all and excellent. However, we had to request a menu which was about 6 inches by 8 inches and included all the menu items in super small print. We got only the one menu and passed it around. Pricing- Since we couldn't really read the menu, we used the restaurants website. When the final bill came around, we were overcharged by well over 40.00. That included over 5 dollars overcharge per person including 18% service tip on that overcharge and tax on the overcharge. When told and shown the menu item costs as indicated on their website to the male server, he said that they had changed the menu prices since, but, hadn't changed the website pricing, and no, the server did not reimburse us for the restaurant overcharging. And, if you get coffee, you will be charged full price for the second cup. No free refills here. In conclusion, cozy and clean restaurant, great music, great food, slow service, and Bad overcharging.
The food a was not bad but the service was absolutely terrible. When I went to pick up an order that a friend placed they told me that they never received it. After looking through their orders they noticed that we did place it but that the kitchen didn’t receive it. So I then had to wait 40 minutes just so that they could get my order ready. Once I got my order the lady gave it to an old bald man that I believe is the owner, in which he then gave it to us. Not only did I receive terrible service from the hostess but also the owner. He reprimanded me for not ordering a day earlier even though my friend had tried to place an order the day before and was told to place it instead the same day. On top of this he then acted weird and said that’s fine multiple times and bye even though I had taken out my card to pay. He basically made it seem like it was free charge. Once I left the hostess charged after me saying that I was stealing and that I needed to pay, in which she then asked me for a tip after the terrible service. So if you don’t mind horrible service from the owner come eat at this restaurant.
The food is delicious, it takes me back home everytime. I always want more. The staff is always so nice and friendly. I love to sit and take in the atmosphere. I love to watch people enjoy what they're eating. I always recommend this restaurant. I love it!!!!
If you want to eat Puerto Rican food this is the place. Here you will have a real Puerto Rican experience. Here was mine: First, the decor transported me to the the beatiful streets of El Viejo San Juan and its surrounding music . For the appetizers, I got the Combinación Criolla. The various options immedietly transported me to la Plaza de Mayaqüez on the Encendido de Navidad. I was surrounded by vendors of all types of street foods. For the drink, I ordered Guava juice. It brought me to my backyard back in PR next to a guava tree as distant salsa music played in the background. The coquies started to sing and I started dance to the rythym of the music. Afterwards, when the Mofongo came and I took that first bite, it felt as if a hurricane came and took my clothes away . I then transported back in time and I saw the Tainos with their Pilón mashing the plantain, cassava and yucca to prepare a trifongo for the entire tribe. Then finally for the desert, I got the Tembleque. I began falling off from tye sky into an ocean of tembleque. I dove in and as I swam through the soft and silky tembleque ocean, a surfing board made of coconuts appeared. I began to ride its waves as I watched the sun setting on the island of PR surrounded by the tembleque ocean \u200d️ Tales from a homesick Puerto Rican
