I love this place :-) it's perfect for a short walk up to the castle, or just sit on the sunny hill side that can be reached without climbing. If you feel active you can take the trail for a one/two hour hike, or follow it all the way to the neighboring village Soyons. It's a nice walk through forest and along the cliff with a good view on the valley. Personally I avoid approaching the castle on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, as it'll be quite crowded. The hiking area behind it stays fairly quiet though. It's also a good place to watch the sunset :-)

I love this place. Amazing view and so clean!! You have to climb to get on top of the castle around 20-30mn worth it! And good exercise. Prepare something to drink!!!
Wow wow wow!!!! Amazing place! Perfect lunch stop for picnicking. Intermarché down road! Perfect for kids to explore - large site
Climb up a gravel path to the top. Lots of hairpin bends to reach the car park. Really interesting place.
Great place to visit without paying fees or parking. No guide but also means no restriction letting you roam the entire ruins.
Stunning remains of the chateau at the top of the rock. To get there you have to pass through the streets of the fortress with walls of medieval houses still standing. Amazing experience for someone who likes history and archeology. The entrance is free of charge and there are no restrictions (this could be dangerous, be careful!). However, it is not an easy route, especially because some parts of the path are damaged, and it is uphill all the way there. I hope that the restoration works will resume soon.
Beautiful place in Rhone valley. Ruins are picturesque and one can rest under the trees.
Totally worth the hike and the panoramic view...all for free ️
