Fantastic market. Could spend hours wandering around viewing meat, fish, cheese, wine, flowers etc. on display. Get there early as it only opens in the morning.

Listed as one of the best markets in France, this is a place to get your fresh produce. Personally I hunt for special cheeses, veggies, fresh fish and I surely I don't miss the 'rôtisserie' for a grilled chicken. Also, the sweet lady that sells fresh pretty herbs from all over the world that she grows locally is worth visiting! The shape of the market is pretty interesting too, in the shape of a shell, the geometric and colourful 50s style that Royan is known for.
