This review is not to have a day at any member of staff at this school, the team has done an amazing job dealing with this situation in such a stressful time! however I’m not sure what the head teacher was expecting, there has been crowded corridors with no masks on the first term, crowded swimming competitions and huge assembly’s in a room with hundreds of kids, did they expect the cases to stay low? I’m not surprised that the year 11s, year 10s, some of year 9 and year 8s are all isolating.. I think there has to be a new approach to controlling this virus in this school because this clearly is not working.

Academically good however not a very good school at all. To start of with, the teachers can be very rude to some pupils in the way they speak to them seeming like the teachers forget that the pupils are human but then completely change there tones and moods in front of parents which is completely wrong. Not sympathising with them or understanding the situation that they’re in can feel very degrading. They also do not listen to the students and if a student tries to get there side of the situation in they will be shouted at and punished either way. Also some teachers have a lot of favouritism towards certain students not treating them all equally when it comes to punishing the students. Their hygiene also disgusts me, with my own eyes I saw a mouse run across the eating area of the CANTEEN and no one did anything about it so if you do send your children there, send them with a pack lunch.

Honestly the school academically is very good and the behaviour and respect the pupils show the teachers is also very good. But the teachers have no respect for the pupils and the pupils and teachers make me feel worthless everyday it’s sad really. There is also a lack of mental health knowledge here, also the head teacher yells in pupils faces as a form as discipline in front of the whole canteen, honestly seems like humiliation tactic to control behaviour, also teachers slag off other pupils to other pupils. Wouldn’t send my child here

Academically a very good school. However, they have literally no understanding of mental health issues whatsoever. Managed to completely alienate my children. Suicide issues overlooked, kids punished for non attendance even when it clearly was an issue. No measures taken to ensure the kids still received an education. Request for work to be sent home denied. Mental health lead with no knowledge about mental health and complete failure to understand our situation. Actually made their mental health deteriorate further. My kids were two of their brightest stars at one time, but once they could no longer hold them up as a shining example to their peers they literally turned their backs on them. No child left behind? I disagree.
