SEA LIFE Trust is located in Poole, United Kingdom on Link House, 25 West St. SEA LIFE Trust is rated 4 out of 5 in the category charity in United Kingdom. The SEA LIFE Trust is a global charity dedicated to making a positive difference for marine life and their habitat. We achieve that change in three main ways: Sanctuaries We currently own two marine life sanctuaries but have plans for many more in the future! Our world-first Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland is currently home to two beluga whales previously held in a water park in China. The large natural bay in the Vestmannaeyjar Islands will hopefully provide a natural home for other beluga whales currently in captivity. We also own and run a seal sanctuary in the UK - the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Here we rescue, rehabilitate and release sick and injured seal pups back in to the wild – making a huge difference to the lives of those individual animals. Campaigning Over our relatively short existence, we have campaigned successfully to see new marine protected areas created in the world’s oceans, challenge laws that prop up the barbaric whaling industry and have encouraged many thousands of people to make simple changes to their daily lives and reduce the amount of plastic they use Project Funding We use the funds we raise from supporters to support projects that make a real difference to marine life and their habitat. Over the last few years we’ve supported projects as diverse as protecting grey nurse sharks off the coast of Australia, regenerating coral reef off the coast of Florida, protecting sea turtles from bycatch (accidental capture in fishing nets) to name a few.
