I too am from New Orleans so the neighborhood places we take for granted back home are kinda hit and miss around here. First time, ordered to go, there was a mistake and it took awhile for them to re-cook the order. It seemed like they had a new guy in the kitchen, the proprietor was watching and I could see him doing some teaching through the door. The fish and shrimp are better imo than other similar places close by. Less than 5 stars because I was missing an extra side when I got home, but just fries, not a big deal. I see from other reviews that they're coming out of a re-model so I understand little mistakes, the food is good that's more important.

Food was good but they seriously have to do something about staffing and service. It was a Friday night and they have one person working the front and one person working the back. They offer limited dine in but about 80% of the tables weren't cleaned for other patrons. If they can increase their staffing I think this place will be one of the better places for seafoods in the area.
This place is great! A coworker said he didn’t like it, but it’s Covid season, and it’s time to help out the little guys. I stopped in right before they closed one night. Cedric, the GM greeted me warmly and was very gracious, despite the close hour to closing time. He chatted with me the whole time I was there, while helping get my, and others, orders ready. Really a great guy. Ordered wings and shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious. Seasoning on the shrimp was the best I’ve had. Wings were big and fantastic. I’ll be back again this weekend. He’s a raiders fan, but a really good guy despite this shortcoming...
Overall very disappointed. The grits had a strange flavor. Not cheesy at all (they said butter and cheese in the grits). The crab cakes were just OK - the sauce however was awesome. The Thai Chicken wrap as a salad was just very blah - girlled chicken with a sweet Thai sauce on top and some grilled onions (also tomatoes that I asked to be omitted - but got anyways). We were the only people there during dinner time...... That was our first clue that this wouldn't be a great meal.
Very impressed with Cedrick and his staff. We have ordered the #2 Boiled Combo bag twice in the last week. We added my king crab and mussels. Everything was fresh and tasty. Tonight we tried their new chicken fried rice ...and seafood fried flat noodle dish (has huge shrimps, crab and fried scallops). It was so Delicious! My family enjoyed it so much (and fought over it), I drove back and purchased 2 more seafood fried flat noodle dishes. Also, I appreciate how attentive Cedrick is when confirming my order, as well as to make sure I understand the heat/flavor choices.
