I'm an ex con snd still going back to prison. I am staying at this place been here for 100 days give or take. I was heavily into gangs and drugs. For the first tine ever im ckean after 30 years. All thr b.s. that put you threw is worth me saying im clean for the first time by choice. You get. Back what you put in.

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. My brother in law paid 120 for only 3 days. Got arrested at a bus stop for racial profiling and when trying to go back they told him he had to wait 3 days. How does that make any sense? Going back this morning, they told him he needed to pay 190. I’m blown away. They have no sympathy or morals because it doesn’t seem like they genuinely want to help these people. They took his 120 for only being there 3 days. I’m sickened after talking to the assistant manager. Horrible place honestly. It’s just a mini version of men’s prison; all about the money and perception
I was living at the Glendale location for one week. I was in the process of getting on my feet again, however this place is not about helping. The place is about money and keeping people who are SMI. People there are allowed to harass other's to the point you will break. I was constantly woke up in the middle of the night by SMI type individuals who are repeat residence. I found this place to be a fraud. Many don't need to be there and hurt the recovery chances of those like myself. I had to leave out on the streets in the middle of the night. Thanks to long hair hippie type guys who run the place. Don't waste your time.
A little strict at first but if you stick out the first week you have a new outlook on this place. They help you find employment and have meetings every night to help keep you sober. They can help you but you have to want help.
This is a recovery/halfway house. It has very strict policies and certainly isn't for the majority of people. The parole board forces parolees to stay here if they have nowhere else to go, or else they'll be returned to prison. There is a certain percentage of people whom feel the need to be self imprisoned due to uncontrollable addiction, and this place might actually work for them. The vast majority of people would most likely view this place as a rock worshipping cult. It's overcrowded worse than a county jail, with as many as 16 men sharing one restroom. About half of the people staying there get caught up in the trap of working for TLC at minimum wage, with all but 1/hour going to pay their rent. Once they get caught up on their \dues\ they're laid off until they're once again indebted and the cycle continues. What transpires there should be illegal, but they've managed to find loopholes in the law and also have the full backing of the Arizona Department of Corrections Adult Probation and Parole Division. This place should be considered only as a last resort to prison or if there's no other potential rehabilitation centers available. This particular facility is for men only.
