Beautiful. Peaceful. Relaxing. Stunning scenery. And fabulous fishing. Lodges spotless and very comfortable. Can't wait to visit again.

Just spent the mid week here and it was amazing. From how it looks to the quality of the fish to the manager Carl they all make it an even better experience. The cabin was clean modern and had everything and more that you need. The fish are some of the best looking carp I've seen. Very well looked after. The manager Carl was a legend. Will definitely be back soon

Had a great week at Blackthorn Fishery. This was our second year running and this time I caught my PB carp at 24lb (but they are much bigger than this in the lake). Fishing here isn't easy, but that's part of the fun, and when you catch your fist fish from here its well worth the wait and effort. If you listen to Carl the bailiff, you can learn a lot of great fishing tips and he will tell you all the good spots to cast to. During our stay each day we could see lots of massive fish topping there heads out the water. The lodge accommodation is excellent and very clean. Charlie & Carl run a great fishery and they are always there to help out when needed. We stayed in North Lodge, but for a change might try South Lodge next year.

Luxury fishing at its finest , surrounded by a rolling Shropshire hillside backdrop. A stunning four lodge fishery with good sized pegs right outside for a bivvy. By no means an easy lake but that's part of the experience. Personally I can't think of any improvement i would make, Carl the bailiff is just amazing, nothing is too much trouble and is always on hand to help with anything, even my new PB at 01:00... thanks Carl (and the chap from the lodge on the opposite side of the lake !) Can't wait to return.

Fantastic fishery helped with a flying start with a mirror of 35lb 12oz with another thirty and 5 twenties to follow. The fish are immaculate with good average weights. Chalet extremely comfortable and Carl is always about to lend a hand with the bigger fish re weighing and pics. Highly recommended regards Richard and Michaela
