We are vegans travelling in Oaxaca and we found it difficult to find vegan food that includes rice here. Found Taj Mahal by chance while looking for another place at night. Absolutely loved it there. Owners are really nice, gave great recommendations. We had the vegan cauliflower and garbanzo dish with rice. Both dishes were really good and fresh. Will come back again during our stay in Oaxaca.

We absolutely loved our experience here! We were looking for vegan restaurants and this popped up as a vegetarian option for us so we checked it out. Right when we entered we were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming guy who must have been the owner. When we told him we are vegan he suggested a few options and made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. He also said that he wanted to make sure we were fed enough food too so he made us each extra food. Honestly felt like we were home with our parents. Very special place and of course the food is amazing. Perfectly spiced and very flavorful. We can’t recommend Taj Mahal enough. If you are in Oaxaca you must go here!

As someone who's been to India multiple times, this is really solid Indian food. Definitely the best I've had in Mexico. The owners are very nice from the Punjab and Jammu. Give them some business check it out. Order at least three dishes they are all delicious.
