This was very nice and quick. This location was very efficient and right there at the door. The kiosk needs to be in every location and Grocery Stores and Gas Stations very convenient. This Pandemic has been Something Else. I was able to walk up and follow the simple instructions steps and be on my way by cash or credit card. Fast Service! Got What I Needed. On to my Next Task. They were very nice and fast. Unfortunately my temporary license says I'm a man now. I'm decidedly not and am hoping that they don't mail me an incorrect driver's license. Hopefully I can get into contact with someone who can fix this.
So difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner. My daughter started working in October and I couldn't get her an appointment until March. She needs a Michigan ID so she can cash her employment checks. I needed new tabs/registration for my car. I'm disabled, very limited income. I don't have local TV channels so I had no idea that I couldn't go to SOS and take care of business. I'm not on social media. When Covid-19 began, it was no big deal of staying home, I'm a home body anyways. I've been to SOS 6 times since October to use the self service machine. Each time it was not working and needed to restarted. I had found another self service machine in Walled Lake and that also wasn't working. I ended up getting a prepaid debit card so I could get my tab/registration online. What a hassle, I'm sure there's others with similar issues. Now I'm waiting for my stuff to come in the mail.
I just want to give a shout out to the women who helped me- China- I had a complicated title transfer and she went out of her way to help ensure that I was able to get the process done that day instead of having to come back. She patiently went through all my ppwk and told me what was needed so I could have my daughter from NYC fax everything. Thank you China! The only negative is that everyone crowded into the doors waiting for their appointment and it was hard to social distance. For us who chose to wait outside it would have been nice to know what was going on. Again, high praise for China!
This was the 5th state we had moved to and get licensed. As long as you have an appointment you get in and out efficiently. It was disappointing seeing others slam doors and take frustration out on these workers. One of our better experiences getting established within a new state. Only problem we experienced was our navigation kept taking us across the street.
