We only visited the garden centre part so can't really speak for the rest of the shop. The choices of potted plants were somewhat limited (but no more than you would expect from a B&Q). The seeds packets were great value though and we made sure to get plenty of those. If you're looking for something particular, this probably isn't the shop for you. They only stock the most common garden plants, and even those are not totally reliable. But if you're not fussy and just want to fill a gap in your flower bed then you're probably not going to find anything cheaper in the area. The shop was nice and spaceous which was good not just for social distancing but also for getting my partner's wheelchair around. There was one spot near the car park (by the educed to clear\ plants) where we got stuck and ended up scratching one of the rims on his push bars, but aside from that it was fine. We did feel pretty uncomfortable to see how many members of staff were wandering round with their noses sticking out over the tops of their masks though. So three stars it is. Could have been much better.

Can’t say enough how impressed I was with the staff at this store. I had bought a Christmas sausage dog about a month ago for Christmas and during my very chaotic house move lost it ️ I went into b&q Newbury to buy another and they had sold out. The gent behind the counter very kindly checked stock out back unfortunately they didn’t have any and worse still were not due to receive anymore. He then very kindly spoke to the manager and agreed to sell me the display model! They then set about dismantling the display and the lady behind the counter sold it to me at a discounted rate (very much appreciated) You guys made for a very happy wife! Thank you very much! Merry Christmas!
They have always supplied hand sanitiser and it never feels over crowded. Fair play B&Q for keeping people safe
Staff outside requested that I cleaned my hands prior to entry. Store quiet and large so easy to social distance. Tills had perspex dividers to protect staff & customers. All staff polite and friendly.
