Bletchley turf delivered four tons of topsoil today, in a little truck. The driver tipped it exactly where I wanted. Splendid service. I rang them yesterday to get a quote, and they were happy to deliver it this morning. This was less than half the price of topsoil I bought from a highly rated national on-line compost company. I bought their cheapest version, and it looks like proper brown soil, as opposed to the dry black stuff from the on-line company, which came in bags on pallets. This proper soil has quite a few white roots in it. But I'm happy to hoik out anything that springs up from these. Thank you Bletchley turf. I didn't use you first time, as you don't have prices up on your web site. I wish I'd rung you then. Just a little update, nearly a year later: I mentioned there were little roots visible in the topsoil. So yes, various weeds came up, eventually, as you'd expect, but NOTHING BAD! No bindweed or ground elder, to my relief. And I now have a fantastic raised flower bed in my front garden, brimming with healthy plants.
