I am a father of a (now) 19 year old who has completed a year at Ethos. I could not possibly be more pleased with the support, mentoring, structure and guidance my son received from Ethos; and I credit Ethos with providing him the environment and tools he needed and will continue to rely on to stay sober. He is a dramatically healthier young man. He is employed, in a healthy network of young men, attending college and reengaged with his family. The men at Ethos place a critical emphasis on a young man's journey from boy-to-manhood and the personal sense of responsibility and accountability that my son lost while using. My son is dong the work, no doubt about that... but Chris and his team turned his life around and continue to walk the path with him as grows and thrives since being clean. While every boy's needs are personal to their situation, I unhesitatingly 100% recommend Ethos with a deep sense of gratitude and respect.

I spent a year at Ethos sober living and it, without a doubt, has changed me for the better and in turn living up to its name. Simply, I came in a mess. And I struggled, pushed through a lot, overcame more, and learned more about myself then I ever have in a year period. And now I live not only sober, but with a foundation and direction that can only lead to a positive life. I am very grateful for this program, and I highly recommend it for others who want to live a meaningful life.
I never completed the full program at ethos but the time I did spend there definitely changed my life in many ways. I found a community where everyone had my best interest in mind and I took things away from ethos that will stick with me forever. I could never thank them enough.
Ethos, the principles that underpin it’s program, and the community there that strives to embody them, saved my life to put it simply. I was lost, with the suffocating desire to be more of my positive potential than I had worked out to in life up to that point. I had no idea of how to practically do any of the things that would amount to my getting that positive potential for myself or those whose lives I touched. I was circling the drain of life, relegated to trying to elect to tacitly not exist in any meaningful way rather than confront the unacceptable reality of the world and what my life had become as a result of this negative feedback loop that I was spiraling in. I was on my way to death, misery, and defeated apathy. I was not a beacon to anyone of anything save how not to be a man. I was in an unsustainable degree of pain, fear, and shame at all times. Ethos helped me to experience an oasis of healthy, disciplined, principled, and harmonious life as part of a community of men who aspire to be forces for harmony and to help others. It helped me to generate authentic value to others by just being myself in light of this shared goal. To contribute to the lives and well being of those around me through action, effort, and sincere communication. It helped me to not be the center of my own world, but to instead focus my attention on others through higher, guiding principles. I can have hope now, I can have acceptance of myself and the nature of the world now, I can be a valuable member of my community now. I can have a harmonious effect on life, and I am deeply grateful to have the privilege. It takes willingness, it takes honesty with yourself, and it takes humility, but it’s worth it. It requires all of the things that life does, because life is worth it, and your uniquely positive affect on others is worth it. Thank you for my life!
A year ago, I was in a very dark place and did not have the courage and strength to admit that. I lied and manipulated, shattered all relationships with family and friends, and could not take a look in the mirror at the person I had become. That all changed when I moved into Ethos. I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by a group of men who provide me with the support, care, and love I needed to make the changes necessary to save my life. At Ethos, I was able to learn to be a joyous man who is a productive member of society, has rebuilt meaningful relationships with loved ones, and has recovered the integrity I had lost. It hasn't been easy work, but it's been extremely rewarding and worth it. The house and the brothers I've gained through the process have allowed me to turn my life around for the best. I am truly thankful for the life I have today cause it is beyond anything I could have dreamed of and I owe it all to Ethos.
