An old hidden gem of Liege. Over 20 000 animals from tiny to huge will make you discover the diversity and beauty of life on our planet. Your kids will be talking about this museum for days.

The taxidermic collection needs refreshing and more information in modern ways. The aquarium is definitely a fun visit. The technological section is really interesting with lots of interactive features for kids of all ages.

The museum is part of the university of Liege, which makes that the collection of stuffed animals is massive. The museum did their best to showcase them in an interesting way, with a variety of skeletons as well. The aquarium is small but nice to walk through. As read in previous reviews, they showcase some sharks and big fishes as well... A bit sad to see the dimensions of the aquaria in comparison with their sizes... As was mentioned before...

Excellent for a rainy day. Ok museum and better aquariums.

Good museum, but bad aquarium. They had an eel that was horribly deformed because of how small their tank was. The aquariums where empty and sad, and the animals looked depressed. The equipment is outdated and the viewing glasses are weirdly shaped in a way that it gives you a headache to look through. And to add it all together, it's incredibly small. There's only three rooms with aquariums, if you want to visit a museum, go here. If you want to visit an aquarium, go to your local pet shop and look at the guppies there

A really nice museum with a large aquarium and thousands of animals. The feel of the museum is awesome... It's like being thrown back into time... In a good way! Absolutely recommended with children! Low entry fee.

An intriguing old-school museum with a wide collection of preserved animals, plus a small but well presented aquarium.

I planned my entire trip to Liege around coming here! Small aquarium (I somehow missed the museum?), but with some really nice displays, both fresh water and marine. Some tanks looked a little grubby, but the animals look healthy - which was really nice. The shark tank and coral displays were highlights to me. Furthermore I enjoyed the softshell turtle and the shrimp displays. The 'Finding Nemo' themed tanks were cute for the little ones. I was disappointed when I realised that I've gone through the entire aquarium so quickly, but I still felt happy to have paid the 7 so that they can keep up the good work. It looks like there is a lot of love and passion going into that place behind the scenes. So pop in if you have some time to kill in Liege!
