There are several of these equestrian statues littered around Cologne. No doubt very interesting for some people, but equally I saw no queues to take photos from the general public.

The main attraction should be the Hohenzollern Bridge which is a great place for photos. The bridge crosses the Rhine river and you can either choose to take the rail or I would recommend walking of course, so that you can enjoy the view of the river banks, the love locks and the koln cathedral from afar.
