The tiny church of Kirkmadrine is a must to see if you are interested in old relics. The Stones on display are circa 400AD. The location is easy to find just off the main Stranraer to Drummore road circa six miles short of Drummore.

This is a really lovely place. We arrived early on Sunday morning while the mist was still lingering around and noone else was about. It was a wonderfully atmospheric experience.

Stumbled upon the Kirkmadrine Church and Stones during my visit to Scotland in Sept 2019. We saw a sign from the main road and took the side road thru fields of corn to the Church. Oh my,,, what a lovely, peaceful and magical place. Short, easy little walk up the path from the road. What a fabulous place and well worth the visit.

Advertisement is Kirkmadrine Stones, but when you walk the 200 yards down a leafy walk you find an old church and some very old grave stone's, there is a viewing case with some very old stones and am explanations. Not that sure I fully got it this time.
