The ambiance and the patient facilities of the hospital are excellent but I can only specifically comment on Wards 9 &11, where I have had a friend staying a couple of times. The staff and doctors do a very good job (which i couldnt do) and are very pleasant. My only criticism is that when one patient is pestering another, it is the complainant that is told to keep out of the way and not the pest.

A very nice new build as part of Ayrshire Central Hospital. Although listed as a Psychiatric Annex, this building also contains a number of other services as well. This part of the Hospital has been built at the back of the site, that is at the opposite side to the main Kilwinning Road. There is great car parking available with plentiful disabled spaces near the entrance. Inside the building has large open space and smooth flooring ideal for wheelchairs. This addition to hospital services in a nice country environment, drops to only four stars because of staff and patient parking on the roadway system, making a hazard for delivery vehicles.

When woodlands was opened June 2016, it was a lovely hospital with caring staff..but 2019 id rather be in the brook haven hospital with the silent hill nurses! I have actually spent all together over 2years in this place. Not recommended at all these days. Also no stars wasn't an option hence the 1 star!

Beautiful hospital, fantastic modern idea of own rooms with toilet facilities. Sad that the staff are lacking equipment to get their jobs done quickly and efficiently. Disabled parking is being badly abused and some kind of official action is needed immediately and abusers fined as this seems to be the only thing they will understand and respect. A typical example this morning two cars parked inside one bay inches apart and none of them displayingng a disabled badge.

Dreadful place. The staff supposedly responsible for looking after elderly patients recovering from orthopaedic issues, prefer to leave them alone in their rooms unsupervised. My mum had a nasty fall and when the matron phoned me to tell me, I was furious. I had to demand that she be checked over given the bad fall. They have no A&E department which is a joke. Other patients pressed their buzzers and requested they be taken to their toilet, but staff were too busy either serving meals or attending to other patients. Another \orderly\ decided she could get my mum up by herself, and my mum had another fall. I had a furious row with the horrible orderly and warned her to stay away from my mum's room and to keep out of my sight, and she did.
