I joint Home Instead York during the first lock down last year, going into a care roll was something I had thought about for a long time, but never been brave enough to take that first step, lock down gave in the courage to go in a new direction. a decision I will never regret, I love being a caregiver, helping clients/friends to stay in there own homes, I have meet lots of interesting people, come across lots of challenges, made new friends. I am sooooo please I am a caregiver for Home Instead York.

I love my role as a caregiver at Home Instead. I go to work every day knowing l will be helping my clients maintain independent lives. My work is varied from personal care to taking my client out for a coffee. It's the biggest compliment when a client or their family tell you you are part of their family. I can't recommend Home Instead enough their ethos of fitting clients to carer, the fact nobody has less than an hours call is brilliant. We really get to know our clients and families. This isn't just a job to me, l love what l do and love my clients. I miss my clients even when I'm on holiday, now there isn't many jobs you can say that about!! Anybody thinking of getting into care work would do well to check out Home Instead York, Rydale and Scarborough
I’ve been a caregiver with Home instead senior care for over 6 yrs now and I love my job. I’ve worked in home care for over 17 years and by far this is the best company I’ve worked for. We provide care which is centred around the needs and requirements of each client. I’ve always said if the client is happy when I leave them then I’m doing my job properly. The company looks after us as caregivers too, we have all the support we need , all the ppe we require and lots of reassurance. I couldn’t work anywhere else. Rete.
I joined the Caregiving team at Home instead York in 2020. This was a huge decision for me, being completely new to care and deciding to take the leap in the middle of a global pandemic! But I couldn’t of made a better decision. The process of training is smooth, easy to understand and I felt welcomed by the whole team. All of my clients are amazing, strong and inspiring people and I feel so lucky to be able to provide them the care they need, at the stage of their life where they need a little extra help with certain aspects of their day. Wether this is personal care, companionship or home help, I really enjoy every minute of it and have a personal connection with so many of my clients ️
I only started working with home instead a year ago , and I have loved every minute of it , I’ve made an extended family and I love all my clients like they’re my own family. Even through the hard year we’ve had with covid , we’ve had some lovely times together and hopefully I have made a difference to all my clients as I know there’ve taught me a lot and made a difference to mine . When life gets back to some kind of normal imagine what more fun we can have .
