What an amazing cafe. We had a super authentic Guatemalan breakfast. The green sauce is to die for!!

I visited Aurora's because I wanted a taste of home. I'm a little bias when I say I loved the chicken soup and steak we ordered. My family is Guatemalan and being far away from them makes me appreciate a home cook meal. It truly was a serendipity of a dining experience. I look forward to trying their breakfast next.

What a gem! We recently were driving by Aurora's Bakery and were attracted to the appealing exterior atmosphere and decided to give it a try. Upon entering we were greeted warmly and were impressed with all the wonderful baked goods. The breads, cookies, and coffee were outstanding as was the service! We are thrilled that Hartford has a new bakery and restaurant that we will continue to visit. We highly recommend Aurora's as an attractive and delicious family owned new restaurant. Thank you for opening your doors for us to enjoy!

Honest review check! Pros: The food is definitely delicious, we ordered a little bit of everything, everything is freshly made, tortillas are real corn and not Maseca (thank you for that!), the bread is delicious, both sweet and savory (real Guatemalan style/taste), the place is cute and I am glad to see that they are super busy! (We ordered churrasco, Guatemalan breakfast, enchiladas, coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast sandwich and took home chiles rellenos and lots of bread!) Make sure you ask for the special of the day!! Cons: Because everything is freshly made and they are super busy (well, we went Sunday morning) the service is a bit slow, please plan ahead and just enjoy your coffee while you await to enjoy some deliciousness (order coffee and a bread as an appetizer to open up your appetite!). Edit: forgot to mention, amazing customer service!!!!!

only passed through town and found this through maps, was pleased to see some authentic food being served out of a really sleek and modern styled cafe. i've never been around hartford so i don't know how much of a trek it could be for lunch but the prices and portions seemed on point. the food tasted fresh and handmade with a lot of love and detail. i wasn't super pleased with the sandwich because it just tasted like avocado and chorizo covered in sauces but it was pretty solid nonetheless. the appetizer of flautas was pretty bomb and i would've never thought of mixing beets with ground beef so i was thoroughly pleased. all in all can't wait to come in on a nice summer day with a group and try more food and breads, the brownie i had was also really good.

Ordered the Guatemalan Hot Dog, came with fries. Very good and filling! Only comes with one meat so don't read description and think your getting all 3. Would do again!
