My kind of place! I love gourmet food and drinks, and it's so interesting to try foreign foods. Europeans are more fastidious about quality over quantity than we Americans tend to be, so I appreciate their food as an art form. I got a couple fabulous pastries; delicious almond cream cookies and the best Turkish (pistachio!) baklava I've ever had! Both were so good, and noticeably less sweet than American pastry, which I actually appreciated as it makes it taste more balanced. I also picked up some wonderful smoked salmon. I will be back the next time I'm in the area for sure!

Went here for the first time recently and it was awesome. So many cool European foods to try. I got this sandwich and I think it was their specialty sandwich if I'm not mistaken, and it was absolutely amazing. Well worth the wait. Will definitely be back!

The hidden gem of Lower AL! Bottom line, up front- Gourmet World Market is a grocery store offering imported goods for an extremely reasonable price. The store has a wide selection of candy, tea, jams, ingredients, and alcohol. Additionally, they have a small deli and bakery where you can buy fresh bread, meat, cheese, and cakes/pastries! You can even get coffee there too! The staff is friendly and you can tell they really care about their store. By far, my favorite local lunch spot/hangout area.

I love this place! Fresh deli cut sandwiches and the service is always friendly and very helpful. I support this wonderful business for it has food from all around the world! Leaving St. Louis, Missouri I miss going to the Gobal Market, this wonderful place needs recognition!

Located in Pelican Plaza off hi way 59 next to Cobb Theatre in Gulf Shores,Alabama. Charming, friendly service, and clean with a variety of World market foods; including dry/canned grocery items, bakery, frozen goods, and deli. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. You can eat your pastry or sandwich there (few outside tables) or take it to go. A very quaint and pleasant atmosphere to browse and shop for specialty items. Great for holiday gifts too!
