Nice view of the lake and given a little history about the area. There's a cafe nearby which was closed when we visited. We parked at this spot (5 for 2 hours) and walked up to Wray Castle for a 3 hour round trip walk. This spot is right near the car ferry port and worth nipping to if you're in the area.

I visited the viewing station on a rather misty day. Couldn't see much but it was worth the visit. The information board about the place is good. The place is well maintained with the modern floor and the coloured panels.

Really great viewpoint about 10 minutes walk up from the Windermere Ferry nab. Two story and information displayed on its history. Olive certainly loved it! There is a car park just around the corner too which is only a 3 minute walk away. Ash Landing nature reserve is also within walking distant

It's ok. Any easy walk from the ferry. The views are ok. The cafe coffee was great. The walk to Wray castle is the best.

Beautiful secluded spot with great views up and down the lake. Easy access from nearby car parks and handy cafe at the bottom.
