Brilliant. We visited on 29 Oct 2020. First time at Thornwood and my fly fishing being a bit rusty I was not sure what to expect of the day. Honestly, Peter has a really good variety of trout in his ponds, it was an active day with 12 fish caught between the 2 of us. The advise Peter gives was most helpful. If you are looking for some good fly fishing in the Essex / M25 area give this place a go, we will be back - hopefully soon.

I had a great day out at Thornwood Spring. The ponds are stocked well enough for you to get bites, but not overstocked to the point where it gets too boring and repetitive as you catch too many. I caught 2 Rainbows and hooked a few Browns. All fish were healthy looking and beautiful in color. Will definitely be back soon.

Great day at Thornwood. Peter the fishery manger is excellent, very knowledgeable and very helpful. Caught some immaculate trout including rainbows, brown and tigers. They have something for everyone, I would highly recommend a visit.

Great fishery! The lakes contain rainbows, browns, blues, spartics, tigers and rudd that are all very obliging to dry flies. Great fun!

Visited today. Great venue - Peter is a gent and very knowledgeable about the lakes. Amoungst other fish, I managed a 4 lbs brown trout that was fin perfect and fought very well. Will visit again soon.
