Beautiful building built on the lines of the ancient Greek Pantheon structure. The exterior was pretty imposing and the interior was pretty too.... with the entire hall decorated with the portrait statues of historical and illustrious Germans. It's a memorial so couldn't complain of it being simple and not so glamorous..! The location although is top notch! With the river Donau flowing right in front, the whole view is stunning. There's an entry cost of 4.50 per person and the parking cost is 2.50 per car.

The view of the building is just stunning. The beauty of the place cannot be described in words. If you are in the area, it is well worth the visit. Only complaint was that it costs 5 to enter the building and take pictures when most stand by the door instead.

This might be one of the absolute must-sees in Germany. To really appreciate it, dig a bit into German and Bavarian history. It was intended as a Greek-liberal counterpart to Napoleon's Roman-imperialist ideals and it contains busts of some highly respected minds whose mother tongue was German or closely related to German. The collection remains open to new additions. (It is however not a 'place of worship' as the map label suggests.)
Lovely place where my fiancé proposed, will cherish it forever!
