This is the best chicken fried steak in Texas. The breading is really good and the steak is so tender. This is one steak that the breading does not fall off or have huge air pockets. It comes with two sides and a salad; you can't go wrong with the mashed potatoes. I liked the green beans, southern style with onion and bacon. This restaurant is about 1 hour from San Antonio, due west on. HWY 90 in D'Hanis, TX. Turn right at the blinking light and it is across the RR tracks on the left. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Come hungry or be prepared to take home left overs.

Owner is really great! Food is outstanding! Service is awesome! Ask for Amy or Angie if you're a first time guest! You will have a great experience! They can get pretty busy, almost instantly, on the weekends, so bare with them! One of the best places in Medina County!!
Great service, big menu, large portions for a good price. Chicken fried steak is fantastic. I got the half cfs and had 3 meals out of it. Great atmosphere.
