Simple, unfussy eatery. Friendly service. Even though we arrived towards the end of dinner service the host didn't rush us even once and stayed 15 minutes past closing just so we could get in a order for desserts and coffee.

We came here on our last night in Bordeaux. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, the food was delicious and the wine was amazing. Initially we booked into another restraunt but cancelled the reservation to come here. So happy we decided on A la Cantine, it has a creative theme based on an old school cantine but in no way represents the typical food of a cantine. What a find!

Good service, not so good food. The best was that the restaurant was open on a sunday evening. The worst might be the food, but value for money was OK.
