The staff was awesome upon our arrival. They showed compassion for our father and made us feel at ease.

My dad moved into Clyde Cosper State Veteran’s Home in September 2018, and he loved it there from Day 1. The staff members and nurses are top notch - kind and considerate, respectful, attentive, and patient. They truly love and care for the residents as if they are adored members of their own family. A sweet example of this is when my dad was in PT. When he would tell me about the PT sessions, I could tell by the smile in his voice that he loved both his workouts and the therapists, and I do believe this gave him purpose and increased his health - physically and mentally. Our first contact there was with the director of admissions, Charlee Crutcher - a bubble of energy and happiness. She led us through the process in such a sweet and loving way. I will never forget it. Placing him in what would be his last place to live this side of heaven was a major event in Dad’s life and in ours, and I credit Charlee for making that transition easy for us. And her kindness didn’t end there. I visited CC regularly and often observed her in her office, in the hallways, and on the porch - always cheerfully interacting with her “resident family.” Similarly, the nurses who cared for him, the Transportation group who lovingly transported him to appointments, Ashley the care coordinator - always prompt and helpful, Sheila at the front desk, Jimmy and the maintenance crew, Food Services - all incredibly good at what they do, and all selflessly serving our veterans. When COVID reared it’s ugly head and we were no longer able to visit Dad face to face, the saving grace in it all was that he knew and we, his family, knew this to be true: If Dad is going to be stuck somewhere and unable to see us, the next best thing would be having a group of people around him who loved him just as much. And that’s what we’ve had with the staff at Clyde Cosper.

My partner's Dad has been here for a few years. His only concern is the food. Because he's on a special diet. The staff has always been very friendly, helpful with all of us. No complaints from his Dad & he WOULD-DEFINITELY let us know!!! That being said, is our experience. • I know for a fact that at almost every V.A. Organization, there's at least 1 or a few employee & employer's that make an already bad situation for our Veterans WORSE!!! I think it's a pathetic shame that this country was/is/always will be built & ran on GREED! If we as a Nation didn't have to be in every countries business and or war. We wouldn't have So many Veterans. Except for the ones that go to war to defend this country or aid in our allies conflicts!
