As ever an excellent place to see bands. Went to see Supergrass and they did not fail. The Ulster hall is the perfect venue. The sound quality is excellent.Toilets are plenty and clean. There is plenty of security so no nonsense. Had a great night. Sorry about the blurry photo l.

Ulster Hall is often home to the Ulster Orchestra as well as all sorts of other events and concerts. You can just pop in - they have a small corridor of art and public toilets on the ground floor. The events I go to are wide and varied from celebrating Chinese New Year to lunch time recitals. I also often get free tickets from BBC tickets and shows - you simply visit their website and apply for tickets and they operate a lottery allocation. Inside the Ulster Hall for recitals my favourite seating is upstairs, there is a large organ and the decor is ornate - as my inside photos show

The Ulster Hall is a lovely historic building and a great venue for a gig as it's quite small and the atmosphere is intimate. I have went to gigs here since the 1970's Punk era during the troubles when many bands would not play in N.Ireland. Thanks to the few venues like the Ulster Hall which would facilitate local Punk bands we were able not only to produce home grown bands but ultimately Ulster Punk was to go on and influence the UK and World music scene with the likes of The Undertones and Stiff Little Fingers. The Stranglers were one UK band that did play here and I recently went to see their return gig after a gap of over 40 years. The Ulster Hall is the BEST VENUE FOR ANYONE WHO IS DISABLED AND STAFF GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO TREAT YOU LIKE ROYALTY RATHER THAN AN INCONVENIENCE AS OTHER VENUES.

This is the home of The Ulster Orchestra and is a great venue for their concerts. The acoustic is probably one of the best in the UK for orchestral concerts. I wish that they would remove the huge speakers at the side of the stage which prevent hundreds of concert goers from seeing much of the orchestra. Also if the seat beside the wall in each row was removed, it would allow latecomers to get to their seats with less disruption. Otherwise great!
