The highlight of Mercado is their excellent butcher - he knows cuts well, he makes excellent black pudding, sausages, burgers and smoked bacon himself. Also, if you need help with cuts or cooking, you're in good hands. The beef and lamb is always excellent and we've never been disappointed by anything we've had recommended. The Christmas selection is also well thought out - from the large traditional turkey packs to things for smaller families. Customer service is excellent and there's a great selection of wines across the shop if you need something to go with your Dexter steak!
Karl made me the best focaccia sandwich ever early Friday morning for a long journey - salami, tomato, cheese and olive oil with a pork pie on the side. Very high quality. Brilliant.
