Very elegant & delicious traditional food. Loved my first paella here. Generous portions & pretty much everything was perfect on the moment ️

This restaurant was a decent first culinary experience in Barcelona. The service was exceptional and the venue is historic. The food was okay. The appetizer olives were bitter. For our meal we had paella. The flavor was delicious but overall the dish was far too salty. For dessert, we had a mango dish they called sorbet. It was really more like an icy or slushy. The mango flavor was very strong but flat as though it needed a pinch of sugar or something to balance the flavor. Visit 7 Portes to experience a piece of Barcelona culinary history but don't set your expectations of the meal too high or you will be disappointed.
It was classic and great experience. Loved everything. I had seated the table where Robert de Niro dined.
It really stands up to the name, the food is that good, the service is efficient and helpful and the price is very fair as a good place. Do not be mistaken if you want a good Paella go to Valencia if that is not possible just enjoy 7 portes.
Nice decoration and very friendly / attentive service. This oldest restaurant in Barcelona opens from 1 pm to 1 am everyday. Very tasty and I wish I have the appetite to order and try a few more dishes ! I would have given it a five star if the food was less salty.
