Burger was good but they charge an automatic 20% gratuity due to COVID, which is fine but seems to give less incentive for server to check in on you. Hence not getting water refills. I gave it a one star because this restaurant added a 15% gratuity on top of the 20% for which I told the manager that someone either added the tip on top of my receipt or it was a systems error. Manager was convinced no one added any extra tip because he said that could only be done by another manager. After his investigation, he says \it turns out there were a few accidentally mis-entered number across a new server's checkout\. Yes, I was refunded the extra charges but no idea if this issue has been fixed or what happened to this new server. My friend who also dined with me also got charged extra. Will not be returning due to shady business dealings.

First time here, burger was good fries were okay. Service was average, she didn’t ask us if we wanted a refill or came to ask about our food or asked for dessert, not a fan. Also, tip is added automatically. Would I come here again? I doubt it.

Very very very over rated!! One- you have to pay the valet to park your car 3 feet away from you. Two- you get in, party of 4, and they push 2 very unstable tables together for my party. 3- we go to order and the service isn't that great, took 30 minutes to take our food order. And they were out of HALF OF THE MENU!!! no pizza bread and no regular bread either. (Which is a BIG part of there menu) 4- I had NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE A 22 TIP becuase gratuity was already added to the check!! 20%!!!! (Yes. It is on their menu but the server did NOT do 22 worth of nothing!!!!) And to top it ALL off, nobody told us that it was card only in the begin.( we would have NOT ate there.) And food is wayyyyyy over priced, I got a burger with some seasonal fries, no different than a burger I get back home, 17.50!!!

Booked a 5:45 reservation for this evening through Open Table. At 4:50 I received a call where a staff member told me “We are overbooked. We won’t be honoring your reservation. Sorry. Bye”. After we hung up I called back and asked to speak with someone else. The manager took my call and said that the owner of Bocado (Brain Lewis) switched to the reservation app RESY but refuses to shut off his association with Open Table although he doesn’t intend to honor their reservations. The manager shared with me that unfortunately I was one of many they were cancelling reservations for this evening. Good luck to you @opentable users who booked a valentines date reservation with Bocado. Go next door to Bar Taco where we enjoyed fabulous food and service.

We had a party of 4 at 5:30 pm on a Monday night. Not sure if it’s due to COVID or us eating super early, but there was no wait. We sat outside. Tables were spaced well over 6 feet apart and easily allowed for social distancing. Waiters wore masks. Our waitress was really kind to inform us that they automatically add 20% tip to the bill. We got the Aloe-ha (12) and the Golly Llama (14). Everyone enjoyed their drinks! The Aloe-ha was refreshing. I got the Bocado Burger Stack with garlic herb fries (16.50 1). I’m not really sure why garlic herb fries are an extra dollar. They’re essentially the same as regular fries, just with some extra spices. My friends got the Westside Bocado Burger Stack, which is an extra 2. Again, not sure why the up-charge for a few extra ingredients. The burgers are not cheap, so I feel like an up-charge is unnecessary. Another friend got the Ravioli (13), which she said tasted as good as it looked. Stuffed with butternut squash, it seemed perfect for fall. Everything was delicious. The service was great. I understand they’re in an expensive area, but if they’re going to keep prices the way they are, I wish they wouldn’t up-charge every little thing.
