Great time at the Needles Battery, a must for any visit to the Isle of Wight. Car park is non NT but reduced for members to 4 from 6. Amazing views and a little tea room offering take aways if required.

Excellent day out at the needles .. enjoyed every minute from the boat ride to the walk up to the new/old battery... outstanding beauty. Lovely little quirky house on the coastal path way up to old battery ..

The old battery build in 1862. On the West side in the island was very important to watch and protect Britains. Very good and beautiful outsight from the battery. To visit is not free ( 5 ), but all goes to the National Trust to repair and maintenance that historic place.

Very windy visit to a great landmark which was enjoyed by all. Enjoyed seeing the National Trust open and being able to look around some of the place. The needles were great to see as they are still standing!! To windy for chair lift but still a good day.

Interesting historical site with the unique Black Knight rocket engine test bed. New battery consists of WW2 former gun emplacements. Not much of the original battery remains but enough to see what once was. Old battery was used and has features dating from Victorian times to WW2. Very interesting site. Unfortunately all rooms and underground features are closed because of COVID but the usual 7 non NT members price is reduced to 5. Pricey for the size of the place but you are donating to its preservation for future generations. Unique and excellent views of the needles and can pretty much get a 360 of the Isle of Wight from up top. Has a vehicle track but is walking only.
