Great location and indoor/outdoor areas. A group of friends invited me for a birthday lunch. I chose the lasagne (17 euros) followed by a cafe gourmand (8 euros). The only edible part of my meal was a few rocket leaves with parmesan shavings and a small ball of vanilla ice-cream. The lasagne was dry and so rubbery I could barely cut it - it had obviously been made some time ago and then microwaved. It went back totally untouched after my first mouthful. No alternative was offered and no comment made despite complaints both by my friends and later by me. Then the cafe gourmand arrived. The coffee was cold. The delicious-looking brownie turned out to be another rubbery lump of some sort of bread pudding and the ile flottant was watery which left me with the little ball of ice cream. Again no comment or alternative offered. After our complaint they simply deducted the cost of the cafe gourmand. So my tiny portions of rocket leaves and ice cream cost 17 euros! Another friend in the group was served cold pizza. Everyone else had salads or stir fries which were alright . An all but inedible meal and very disappointing response from the restaurant. Any restaurant can have 'blips' in the kitchen but they need to own up to them, apologise and offer alternatives or refund.
We had a good experience here. Tasty pizza and beer/lemonade. Service is good. Not cheap but worth it overall.
A really nice and popular terrasse to enjoy a beer or wine on during the summer. Just unfortunate that prices are rather high, and service; despite seemingly having an incredible amount of waiters, is disappointingly tardy.
My place
Great place, nice authentic atmosphere. Food is excellent and portions are big enough. Service is prompt.
This place defines the refinement of urban life in Albi.
The food portions were substantial, the service by the waiter in the Trilby outstanding, I had Foie Gras, if was superb, the brioche and the peaches balanced it perfectly and the suggested sweet wine added a little more, then to be followed by the best cooked Tuna I have ever eaten, the accompanying spices and sauce was unbelievably tasty, and all I had with it was mashed potatoes but what a perfect match. All thus with a recommended wine of the region. What made it more special was that we were sitting upstairs effectively on a bridge over the entrance watching the comings and the goings together with a view of the expertise of the cocktail barmn. Highly recommended Colin
